ADVANCED STRUCTURAL RESEARCH

AUTOMATED SIZE AND SHAPE OPTIMISATION USING PSO AND SAP2000 API INTEGRATION.

Developed a MATLAB-based PSO framework coupled in real time with SAP2000 Open API to optimise 2D truss structures. The framework minimised structural self-weight while enforcing AS 4100 and AS/NZS 1170.0–1170.2 compliance constraints, including member stress limits and nodal displacement limits. Completed June 2025 with High Distinction result of 87%.
